Discover wheel throwing at Level 0 - our entry-level taster session perfect for absolute beginners, anyone returning after a long break, or those who just want some extra practice. Held every Saturday and Sunday afternoon in our bright, relaxed Brixton studio.
In this 2- or 3-hour session, you’ll learn the core foundations of throwing: preparing your clay, centering, and shaping a simple form on the wheel. No experience needed - our instructors guide you step by step so you can focus on the fun of making. You’ll keep your favourite piece, fired and glazed for pickup. Additional pots are £10 each.
This is a great way to try something new, unwind creatively, or get back into clay with low pressure and lots of support.
What to Bring
Wear comfy clothes, short nails help, and long hair should be tied back. Aprons provided.

We warmly welcome younger visitors, but for safety and comfort we require a minimum age of 11 years for our Taster wheel-throwing classes. This ensures everyone can fully enjoy the experience while using the equipment responsibly—and it keeps our studio a supportive, creative environment for all.
