Join renowned ceramicist Ben Brierley for an immersive two-day throwing workshop, designed for potters eager to refine their skills and push their creative boundaries on the wheel.

 

Over two full days of hands-on learning, you’ll receive personalised guidance, insightful demonstrations, and expert tips to elevate your technique. Ben will begin each morning with an inspiring presentation, exploring historical and contemporary approaches to throwing, including live demos that break down essential forms and advanced methods.

Each session will focus on helping you achieve your personal goals, whether it’s improving precision, working with larger forms, or mastering new techniques. With six hours of tuition per day (three hours in the morning, three in the afternoon, plus a one-hour lunch break), you'll have plenty of time to practice under Ben’s expert eye.

Important Notes

  • Please ensure punctual attendance each day—this condensed course is designed for maximum engagement and hands-on participation.
  • Keep up to 2kg at greenware stage, or pay additionally for bisque firing £10 per kg, or a taught Glazing class £50.

 

 

Please be advised to allow for approximately 5 weeks before your works are ready for collection, although we aim to get vessels fired as soon as possible. You will be emailed once your vessel is ready for collection. We are unable to post pieces. Finished pieces must be picked up from Earthworks studio within 3 months of the class.

 

Apron: If you have your own to bring fantastic if not we have them in the studio.
