Intro Throwing-

Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays - 6 - 8.30 pm - 6 weeks

 

Arch 45, Nursery Road, Brixton, last arch after London Beer Lab.

2 and a half hour class with a maximum of 8 people.

At Earthworks, you will learn new ceramic techniques, perfect for beginners and those with basic clay making experience.

 

Using stoneware clay we will learn to wedge, centre and throw on the wheel, with instruction on how to work the clay carefully to avoid cracks during firing. There will be options for glazing. Includes materials and firings.

​

At the start of the sessions, the ceramic teacher will show you the steps for wedging clay and how to throw a cylinder. We will create a smoothed finish or add different textures. You will glaze pieces with your choice of glaze and they will be ready after four weeks to pick up.

Please arrive promptly. Finished pieces must be picked up from Earthworks studio within 3 months of the class.

Aprons provided. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
