Queer BYOB
Queer BYOB Throwing Night 6 - 8pm
Join us for a Saturday night that’s all about clay, community, and creativity. Our Queer BYOB Throwing Taster Session is a relaxed, welcoming space designed especially for LGBTQ+ makers and friends to explore the potter’s wheel together.
Bring along your favourite (non-staining) drink – we love recommending our neighbours London Beer Lab, just a few arches down, with their amazing selection of craft beers and lagers. Please arrive 10 minutes early so you can get settled in before the fun begins.
Over the course of 2 hours, our friendly tutors will guide you through the fundamentals of throwing, from centring the clay to shaping your first pot. There’s no pressure to get it perfect – this is all about play, discovery, and connecting with others in a supportive queer space.
Style tip: Dress to impress—but only in clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay on! (Aprons are provided. Clay is non staining) And while it is possible to throw with long nails, you may find it easier without.
At the end of the night, you’ll select your favourite piece to be fired and glazed by our team, ready for you to collect at a later date.
Whether you’re here for the clay, the laughs, or the chance to meet new people, this class is designed to be as much about the experience as it is about the pottery. No prior experience needed—just curiosity, good vibes, and a drink in hand.
Note: Your piece will take around 5 weeks to be ready for collection—we’ll email you as soon as it’s done.
